In the historic city centre of the famous Port of Le Havre, Bouwfonds MAB developed a large-scale shopping area, adding an impressive 30.000 m2 to the existing Printemps department store. Comprising 9 floors, Espace Coty has given a huge boost to the relatively limited range of shops in this city with a population of about 440,000. All the major French retailers have successfully set up shop in Espace Coty: Monoprix, FANC, C&A, Go Sport, Sephora, Mango, Casa, etc. The centre obviously also includes a number of locally owned businesses and food serice outlets.
The project was commended by the ICSC in 1999.
